LOS ANGELES September 28, 2022:  UPROXX, the youth culture & music destination, today launched Fresh Pair, a brand-new series starring hip-hop legend Just Blaze and sneaker customizer Katty Customs. In the series, the co-hosts sit down with some of the biggest names in culture, to talk about their passions for sneaker culture, streetwear style as well as their careers and personal journeys.

The focal point of the series is sneaker culture, and for every episode, Katty will design a customized pair of shoes inspired by the featured guest. Season one guests include Jadakiss, The Game, T.I., Redman, EL-P, Jim Jones, Styles P and will.i.am.

“Fresh Pair is a new take that speaks to the intersection of hip hop and footwear,” says co-host and executive producer Just Blaze. “By creating original wearable works of art for our guests, we’re telling the stories of the artists and producers who have shaped our culture.”

Katty Customs, Co-Host, added: “We take every piece of the shoe seriously – from the tongue tag to the insoles and beyond. I’m not afraid to say that some of these designs have pushed me harder than I’ve ever been pushed. Now it’s up to the guests and fans to react.”

Recently ranked #7 on Billboard’s 50 Greatest Producers of the 21st Century, multiple GRAMMY award winning DJ and music producer Just Blaze is no stranger to platinum hits. Over the course of his legendary career, Just has worked with artists such as Jay-Z, Eminem, Drake, Beyoncé, TI & Rihanna, Snoop Dogg and many more.

Nicolle Knight, aka Katty Customs, is a leading figure in the booming community of sneaker customizers. Her intricate designs tell a story, capturing and reflecting the personality of whomever she’s designing for. Whether it’s the Jordan 1s she designed for Sneakerheads star Allen Molanado, or the five custom pairs she crafted for Chris Brown, Katty’s bespoke kicks seamlessly merge both art and sneaker culture.

Fresh Pair is now available on Uproxx.com as well as on the Uproxx Video YouTube channel – Youtube.com/UproxxVideo. The eight episodes of season one will release weekly, with bonus clips and preview clips released throughout the week.
